Can, at Matt's
Black colour. Soft mouthfeel, almost oily, but followed by very aggressive roast, ashes. Not palatable.

Dark brown, with a fudgey note, and a toasty accent. There's a molasses accent, veering towards a cassareep sort of character, a bit nutty. Pretty good, lightish body for its size, but overall I'll say this is quite balanced, and with good complexity.

473mL can. Pours black with thin beige head. Aroma is earthy, lots of toasted malts. Flavour has some good toasty malts, a bit of chocolate; generally very earthy. Nice overall, but not the most complex.

473mL can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of dry coffee, earthiness, and toasted notes. Flavour is very roasty, with intense roasted malt, plenty of hops, earthiness, and a touch of dark fruits. Earthy, roasty, and hoppy in good balance; a bit harsh, but solid enough.

Poured from 473mL can. Opaque golden orange with minimal white head. Lots of orange flavour, quite artificial - powered orange flavour, very feint vanilla in the background. Not terrible, but novelty through and through, lacking in any depth.

Poured from the tap (at the Seaport Beer Festival). Hazy yellow gold with small white head. Grassy citrus hops, slightly bland grainy malt underlay.

Poured from the tap (at Seaport Beer Fest). Cloudy gold with white head. Light citrus and pine, touch of onion, slightly green, but lots of potential. Released today so maybe it needs to settle.
