Dark copper pour, small white head. Pretty dark for an apa, reminds me of a hoppy amber ale. A nice drinkable ale with some subtle pine resin hoppiness. Medium bitter, nice mouth feel and carb. Forgettable.

On tap at the brewpub. Typical pour, hazy yellow, big white head. Typical aromas, bananas, wheat, and yeast. A very typical hefe, decent for the style.

12oz (thx, Josh!) @ Matt's house. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: interesting that it does really smell quite similar to the pistachio baklava that I got in Istanbul 10 years ago. Malty, sweet. Taste: along the same lines, quite sweet, lots of sweet pistachios. Overall: good one.

355mL can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of toasted pistachios, light syrup, honey, and some roast. Flavour is full of toasted pistachios and honey upfront, with a pronounced bitterness and some herbal notes. Not too sweet at all -- everything works well. Good stuff.

Dark brown. Aroma seems a bit weak, On the palate, some lactosey vanilla stuff, a bit of pistachio, too. So more pistachio ice cream than baklava. It's okay, but the adjuncts aren't as well-developed as I'd prefer, and the base is good but not actually that rich.

Can sample at a tasting at Sahar's place. Cloudy yellow. Vegetal oniony hops, a bit sweetish, some green bitterness.

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a medium size white foamy head with limited retention and no lacing. Aroma of tart notes with some funky ester. Taste is a mix of tart notes with some funky ester and light vinous notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Not bad but somewhat one-dimensional.

Mildly hazy, golden-yellow colour with a bubbly-soapy white head, average retention and some soapy patches. Citrus zest and peel aromas with mostly lemons, a touch of oranges. In the taste, pineapple come out which is weird for Citra, but the honey gives out this sweeter note. Tangerine lingers. Gets quite hazy at last pour with some particles at the bottom of the glass. An easy-drinking Double IPA with the Citra blending with a slight sweet-honey touch.

50th review from this brewery - thanks for shipping to Ottawa. Hazy, bright, light-golden colour with a big white frothy-creamy head, good retention and some thick soapy-foamy lacing. Lemon zest aromas with some orange juices and a touch of zesty spices, grass. This grassiness gets stronger in the taste with the citrus taking a seat in the back. Big particles coming through as the can is swirled. The zestiness, spiciness builds into the dry finish. Citrus peel lingers. A nice DDH IPA with some good citrus and dryness.
