Bottle (thank you, Quack-Duck !) Golden coloured, quickly vanishing white foam, solid buttery, sweet-malty and aromatic hoppy nose; robust sweet-bitter flavour, fine malty base; light to medium bodied; very present sweet-malt in the finish, later drier hops in the aftertaste. A very good and pleasant Pilsener; maybe it tasted so good, because I drank two bottles of bland swiss beer before......

This is the newest product by Zoller-Hof. Export naturtrüb is brewed according to a recipe from the 1600s. It is brewed with barley malt and wheat malt, which is quite unusual for an Export. Swing-top bottle from a nostalgic wooden crate. Pale yellow colour, very cloudy (unfiltered = naturtrüb), fruity nose. Malty and fruity flavours, toasted malts, wheaty as well. Well-rounded by a shy but detectable hoppy dryness in the finish and aftertaste. Seems to be something in between a German Hefeweizen and an Export, as it has characteristics of both styles.

(33 cl bottle) Called "Export Naturtrüb" and labeled also 5.5%, so I guess it’s the same. Shady yellow color, small white head. Sweet, spicy estery banana scent. Estery banana taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. I’d say this was a hefe weizen, perhaps it’s another beer after all?

(33 cl bottle) Pale yellow color, shite fluffy head. Sweet malty and grainy scent. Weak malty sweet taste. Medium mouthfeel and bitterness. Grainy aftertaste.

(bottle, traded with quack-duck) Clear, pale golden colour with a big foamy white head. Sweet, slightly wheaty aroma with strong notes of banana and lighter clove phenols. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, a bit overcarbonated mouthfeel. Wheaty, banana-fruity taste; medium-sweet, slightly fruity, quite clovy finish.

(bottle, traded with quack-duck) Clear, amber colour with a foamy white medium head. Sweet malty toasty and nutty aroma with a touch of honey and present but shy hoppy notes. Sweet flavour, light to medium body, smooth carbonation. Malty, moderately toasted taste, slightly nuty with light herbal notes; slightly bitter and shy hoppy finish. Pleasant to drink but nothing special.

(bottle, received by trade from quack-duck) Clear, yellow colour with a fluffy foamy white head. Shy aroma of slightly sweet pale malt, strawy with a touch of herbal and light grassy hops. Light bitter flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Malty, strawy, unexciting taste; faint bitter finish wit traces of hops. Clean, but boring.

(bottle, with thanks to quack-duck !) Clear, yellow colour with a fluffy blonde foamy head. Light sweet pale malt aroma, faint citrousy with a whiff of herbal hops. Soft malty, slightly strawy taste with light herbal notes; light to medium body with a crispy palate; dry and slightly bitter finish with traces of herbal hops and a slightly unpleasant tart note in the aftertaste.
