Willrunforbeer’s grand mead tasting. Deep purple color with a huge black berry juice, raspberry and mild honey.

The flavor is the same with the addition of some red wine hints. Tannic. Full body, dry texture. Sample this at a huge mead tasting and got to say it’s lower end of the Schramms for me personally.

Willrunforbeer’s grand mead tasting. Bottle supplied by Ajax. Aroma is honey and what reminds me of a sugar cookie aroma. Mild nutmeg.

The flavor is mellow spice, nutmeg, vanilla, sugar and nice honey sweetness. Highly drinkable, very tasty.

Willrunforbeer’s grand mead tasting. Batch 2. Merlot color. Aroma is rich, layered currant. Very nice.

The flavor is just as rich in deep currant, almost had a jam character. Nice fuller body. Almost a blueberry/currant hybrid. Damn, really juicy.

Willrunforbeer’s grand mead tasting. A few chunks of something floating in this clear gold liquid. Aroma is very odd, wine cork and almonds, peach? Peach?

The peach does come though pretty well in the flavor. The alcohol is pretty well hidden but I still get it. Ok

375ML @ the mead tasting. Just a little bit of cloudiness to this soft golden colored mead. Nose is very light, sugary sweet brown sugar, hibiscus and honeysuckle with only a slight faded peach nose. The taste is quite boozy with a lot of oomph at the start and the finish. Tastes like a mostly honey mead with only faint peach throughout which does help to balance out the sweetness with a nice acidity. Only slightly cloying.

2014 Vintage @ Willrunforbeer’s grand mead tasting. Have to thank umich03jm for trading this bottle to Brian. Dark ruby garnet color. Aroma is is blackberry, cherry and slight honey.

Cherry skins, cherry wine, lightly sour. The finish is sweet without being cloying. Nice fuller body. Nice lingering berries, dry finish.

Very faint golden yellow appearance. Nose is straight up heirloom apples, granny smith, fresh pressed and tart. Taste is not overwhelmingly apple. It’s very easy to drink, nothing too intense and has a crisp mellow pear like finish with hints of grape juice and peach. This is very drinkable. Incredibly sweet, dry and perfectly mellowed. I love it.
