The new-build brewery sits in the grounds of the old manse in the beautiful village of Ardgour (Àird Ghobhar - the height of the goat) on the edge of the remote Morvern and Ardnamurchan peninsulas.

Cask at the wonderful Black Horse in Preston, 16/05/2025.
Deep amber topped with a lasting beige cap.
Nose is stewed fruits, brown bread, biscuit, herb.
Taste comprises bready malts, sultanas, herb, stewed fruits, grains.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Okay cask affair.

I tried this beer towards the end of the CAMRA Mild Magic challenge and I suspect it was a bit past its best. Although it looked and smelled OK it tasted a bit vinegary like a Belgian Lambic. Hence the low score, not to my taste.

Golden pour topped with an off white cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is grass, straw, hedgerow, grains.
Taste comprises biscuit, grains, herb, lemon nip, straw, leaves.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close.
Okay bitter.

A clear amber beer with a beige head. Aroma of reddish malt, caramel, spruce. Taste of reddish malt, dry resinous hops, pine, raisins, moderate bitterness.

500ml bottle from the Scottish Real Ale Shop. Pours c;ear light brown with a white head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, toffee, hints of smoke & malt. Moderate body. Light bitter finish. Enjoyable

Cask, third pint. @Nottingham Camra Beer Festival, Nottingham (England). 09/10/2024 [#7.828 Global - #302 Scotland - #1 Ardgour Ales (My scottish brewery #88)] Pours dark golden to orange with a bubbly medium white head. Aroma: perfume, spiced malts, honey and floral hops. Taste: floral hops and honey. Too much. Next one, please!

10/10/2024. Cask at Nottingham Beer & Cider Festival 2024. Pours clear dark amber copper with a lasting frothy just off-white head. Aroma is malty, floral, fruity, caramel, hedgerow, heather, biscuit. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, slightly oily, average to soft carbonation. Nice aroma, quite liked this.
