Description
Fearlessly tasteful beers crafted on the fringes of the High Peak in the Peak District. A small 8 BBL brewery based in the Hope Valley, Derbyshire. Twisting traditions by brewing modern takes on traditional recipes. Never bland or forgettable, we love hops, we love malt & we love yeast. Beer wants to be made and shared.

Cask-conditioned at the Lime Kiln, Bristol 28/2/2016. Golden in colour, with a decent, white, head. A touch of citrus fruits, cereal malts, a hint of leafy hop and a moderately bitter finish. OK.

Cask (gravity) @ Nottingham Robin Hood Beer Festival (2014), Nottingham Castle, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EL. [ As Intrepid Explorer ].Clear medium yellow color with a small to average, open and frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity, pale malt, light vomit. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, citrus, pale malt, vomit notes. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141011]

[ As Intrepid St Bernard ].Light unclear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, sweet malt, UK yeast notes. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a average to long duration, sweet malt, caramel, nutty notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141010]

Bottle shared thanks to deanso. Very dark brown with bubbly beige head. Roasted malts, ash, light mineral, cocoa beans, soft herbs, dried red berries, cranberries. Light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with a bit watery feel.

Bottle shared thanks to deanso. Hazy golden with big white head. Citrusy hops up front with lime and lemon, lychee. Light dry caramel malts, minerals, chalk, some dried fruits, flowery, light soapy. Very light sweet and under medium bitter. Light bodied with dry feel and decent carbonation for a change.
