Bottle shared thanks to deanso. Clear reddish brown with bubbly beige head. Looks nice. Vanilla, lots of spices and wood, caramel, sugary, dry grains, lots of scotch whisky and bourbon notes. Light sweet and bitter. Light bodied and very light carbonation. "Lightly Oakes", well, I’m interested in what they would call heavy oaked, this has massive oak notes. Not bad at all.

Shared bottle at ExABC tasting thanks to deanso. Copper golden with thin white head. Sweet caramel malts and weedlike hop bitterness. Light sweet and over medium bitter. Bottle shared thanks to deanso. Clear golden with barely any head. Light fruity hops up front, stale malts, citrus. Not too bad, but the finish has some lingering skunky and poop notes. Light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with no carbonation and bone dry feel.

Cask (gravity) @ Nottingham Robin Hood Beer Festival (2014), Nottingham Castle, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EL. [ As Intrepid Pilot ].Clear medium yellow color with a small to average, open and frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, UK yeast, light earthy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, fruity sweet, malt, earthy, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141010]

Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 2016. Very dark red in colour. Has lots of darks with a sweetness. There’s hints of roasted malts in its aftertaste.

The sharpness of the rhubarb comes through strongly in the aroma together with some pot pourri. Bland flavour. Soda texture.

Tap. Brewhouse, Sheffield. Didn’t know what style of beer this was, but I’d have put it as a 5% odd IPA. So either this drinks way above its weight, or I don’t know my beer arse from my elbow. Hmm...

Cask ale at Lion and Key. Remaining beige head to a clear amber coloured body. Solid lacework. Bread and herbal hops on the nose. Grainy malts, pine and dried fruity flavours. Bitter endnotes. Well bodied. Pretty nice (shared with Finn, Hull 25.11.2015).
