330ml bottle from Chesterfield Craft. Deep dark appearance, with a deep dark brown head. Coffee, roast, dark malts emanating from pour. Medium bodied, plenty of woody roast, coffee, layered dark malts, treacle hints, gentle whiskey influence. Decent stout for a windy evening.

5.0% Cask gravity at Folkestone Firkin Alehouse. Black beer thin tan bubbles. Toasty vanilla chocolate wafers light praline aroma. Good chocolate praline vanilla flavour some juiciness. Light dryness on finish. I thought good. But too heavy for me.

Cask at the Cock Tavern, 13/12/18. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is smoked malts, toffee, cocoa sprinkle, light charr. Taste comprises dried fruits, chocolate, toffee, light spice, chocolate biscuit, hint of bonfire. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close Ok stuff.

Handpull cask at the Kings Head, Leicester. Dark brown and only a touch of translucency. The small ring of beige head leaves lots of creamy lacing. Massive hit of roast malt in the nose, along with coffee grounds and some blackberry. Sweet taste with a light berry flavour, and some bitterness from the roast malt. A light astringency finishes the beer. Coffee, black grape and some liquorice in the aftertaste. Very good.

4.5% Cask gravity at Firkin Alehouse Folkestone. Clear gold colour lasting white head. so earthyness some rose petal some citrus. Light bitterness ok condition. Fine.
