Tap pour as part of a flight at the brewery. Appearance is deeply hazy yellow with carbonation clinging to the side of the glass but not effervescent, initial 3-finger head calming to thin 1/4-inch creamy, pillowy off-white head (typical of nitro, which this is) with excellent retention and nice sudsy lacing. Aroma is VERY nice white chocolate and sweet raspberries with no bitterness. Taste is stronger raspberry than the aroma but white chocolate still strong. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with thin, creamy texture, soft carbonation, and finish as taste. Overall, this is a creamy, light, smooth, neapolitan-like dessert. As a golden stout, it already doesn't follow the typical rules for a stout. It is seemingly too thin for the style but I think the brewer was going for a creamy, light, almost custardy/yogurty dessert. Not terribly complex but it sure works for me!

Tap pour as part of a flight at the brewery. Appearance is lightly hazy golden-light brown (more yellow with light source directly behind) with light sparkle, thin cap of white head receding pretty quickly to a ring. Aroma is very strong orange like an orange Life Saver or Fanta/Sunkist orange soda. Taste follows aroma--almost seems like fake orange as it's not an orange or orange juice but those artificially sweetened. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with lingering orange and mild bitterness. Overall, sort of a one-trick pony and a little cloyingly sweet and too orange-y like Pedialyte or products referenced above but credit to the brewer for playing with the hop. Not entirely pleasant but it definitely says something. Can't say I've had dozens of beers that taste just like this--it's pretty unique. Perhaps in the future this should be paired with something so the orange shines through less. Kind of exciting to see how this will be used in the future. Pair it with some lactose and this would make a killer creamsicle IPA.

Taster pour at the brewery. Appearance is opaque dark yellow with small white head with decent retention, no discernible sparkle. Aroma is sweet pineapple, balanced by lime/lemon that complement each other nicely. Taste is dominant sweet pineapple and mild white grape with bitter balance. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodies with thin, smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and fairly crisp finish as taste with lingering light bitterness. Overall, pineapple is clearly the showpiece here and it is enjoyable with some bitter balance but not terribly complex.

4 ounce pour of the brewery. Chamomile, lavender, dead flowers follow by a sharp acidic sourness. Not for me at all.

4 ounce sample at the brewery. Brown in color. Light chocolate, mild nut, thinner body, nitro does make it creamy. The nitro helped but it still was really lacking.

4 ounce sample at the brewery. Decent flavors. Chocolate, weak roast. Maybe make a Franken Oat Stout to thicken this up a bit. Desperately needs more body.

4 ounce sample at the brewery. Raspberry extract, some nutty hint under the light malt backbone. Tastes like an all extract blonde ale.
