Description
In 2003 the Pask family, long-time residents of Fernie, had a dream of their own to bring the brew back to the small rocky mountain coal mining town. They did just that, setting up a Brewery in their family barn. It was the start of things to come.
In 2007 we relocated to our existing building, designed and built from scratch. With constant growth, Brewhouse expansion, new products and revamped recipes, we’ve travelled through kegs to cans to 650ml bottles and into growlers, currently distributing throughout BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and into Manitoba. As we continue to grow, we’ll never forget our roots. It’s as simple as Good Beer from a Good Town.

473 ml can. Pours a dull gold with moderate heat. Aromas of sulphur, wheat, muted lemon and coriander. Flavors of same with a bit more lemon and sharper wheaty malts. A little thin. Enjoyable when really cold.

473mL can. Pours murky amber with a beige head. Chewy caramel and a bit of pine on the nose. Flavour is pretty malty, lots of caramel, some pine, and a slightly astringent berry character. Not bad, though I think Krush was an odd choice for the hops.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy gold orange with a small, foamy, short lived, off-white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet fruity aroma of grainy wheat malt, mango, orange and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy wheat malt, orange, mango, peach and grassy hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Refreshing, juicy and crushable.

473mL can, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has gentle notes of cocoa upfront, with toasted malt, maybe a subtle coffee undertone. Flavour is fairly subdued, with gentle cocoa upfront, a touch of vanillin, and soft toasted malt. Hard to see the point of this—certainly not worth calling a stout, but more like a golden ale with subtle cocoa undertones. Inoffensive but puzzlingly boring.

473ml can. Pours a clear gold with plenty of floaties and a small, foamy, short lived, white head that laces. Mild aroma of toasted bready malt, chocolate and floral hops. Sweet flavour of toasted bready malt, vanilla, mild chocolate and spicy hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light to medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Flavours were too subtle and not very stout-like. A little disappointing.

Quite pale, medium head. Soft body, blackcurrant hops, blackberry, salmonberry, it’s a nice pocket but some more bitterness would help it pop because the malt is relatively light.

Poured from 473mL can (bb Mar 24, 2026). Hazy yellow gold with small white head. Tropical and melon hops, slightly juicy, but hop character is also a touch muted (maybe it's just the beer or maybe it's age - not sure how long they put the bb date for), fairly clean yeast profile for a hazy. Okay.
