Description
In 2003 the Pask family, long-time residents of Fernie, had a dream of their own to bring the brew back to the small rocky mountain coal mining town. They did just that, setting up a Brewery in their family barn. It was the start of things to come.

In 2007 we relocated to our existing building, designed and built from scratch. With constant growth, Brewhouse expansion, new products and revamped recipes, we’ve travelled through kegs to cans to 650ml bottles and into growlers, currently distributing throughout BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and into Manitoba. As we continue to grow, we’ll never forget our roots. It’s as simple as Good Beer from a Good Town.

It's a beer that exists. A typical golden ale that isn't really a kolsch, and probably shouldn't pretend to be. Just flabby pale malt, low bitterness, and a lack of continental hop character. I expected little and boy did this deliver.

473mL can, pours a dark amber red with a medium beige head. Nose has some gentle resinous upfront, bready caramel, and a touch of woody pine. Flavour is much the same, with woody piney hops, resinous notes, and lightly sweet toasted caramel malt. Woody, bready, lightly sweet finish. Pretty well-made.

Light purple/pinkish pour, with a small off white head.
A distinct malted wheat aroma, with touches of diacetyl, and some random berry juice, and light stone fruit. Low carb, muddy mouth feel. Low bitterness in the finish, muddled flavours, sweet berry juice, buttery malts. Meh.

473ml can. Pours a clear red amber with a medium, foamy, long lasting, beige head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Aroma of rye malt, orange, guava and spicy hops. Sweet flavour of spicy rye malt, grapefruit, strawberry and hop resin in a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Interesting and enjoyable.
