Undated can with some other code on the bottom (love making the effort to put a code on the bottom but not a date), contract canned at Dorchester Brewing Co, drunk 7/6/23. Moderately-to-heavily hazy, bronze-maize-golden. Large, white head steadily recedes to cover. Peachy-white grape with light pine, light cranberry and a bit of earthy-mineral. Not too sweet, with sparse cracker malts and good cleanliness. Not too piney either. Oof, that's like a mouthfull of water instead of malt. Super thin, watery and yet with a wheaty/juicy/thickness on the finish that is super strange when taken with the thin malt texture. The flavors are fine with a reasonable Galaxy addition adding peach, white grape and cranberry. White bread and light sweetness but just a terribly watery, washed-out texture as is typical of Dorchester Brewing. Well, I'll be dumping this out. Tastes like a 4.5% session IPA.

16 oz. can. Thanks to tfontana on the trade. The aromas lightly fruity. Flavor is peach, pineapple, a little bit of earth. It shows the characteristics of galaxy with a mild earthy bitterness in the finish.

On tap as part of a flight from the brewery. Appearance is opaque black with finger-width creamy tan nitro head with excellent retention and tons of lacing. Aroma is strong roasted oats, malt, mild toffee. Taste is strong roasted oats, malt, toffee as aroma. Mouthfeel is light- to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, not complex but can’t recall an oatmeal stout that was so decidedly oaty. So, a little different anyway and the star of the show today.

On tap as part of a flight at the brewery. Appearance is dark, dark brown--virtually opaque--with ring of beige head and light lacing. Aroma is strong roasted earthy malt. Taste is strong roasted malt—slightly earthy. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, just roasted malt. A bit thin and frothy for the style. Not great as a Baltic Porter--more akin to a dry/foreign stout.

On tap as part of a flight at the brewery. Appearance is hazy light brown-dark yellow with light sparkle, ring of off-white head with nice lacing. Aroma is wheat, coriander and tart fruit. Taste is strong sweet wheat, coriander. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, mostly standard flavors for a Hefeweizen and orange peels don't add anything IMHO.

On tap as part of a flight at the brewery. Appearance is lightly hazy dark yellow with ring of off-white head, no sparkle and light lacing. Aroma is strong herbal & piney (cat piss), grapefruit. Taste is citrus and strong cracker. Hints of pine and grapefruit but no cat piss. Mouthfeel is light side of light to medium with frothy texture soft carbonation and crisp finish as taste. Overall, not great aroma and taste is more malty than juicy for style. Miss.
