Brewery draught, 1/12/24. Clear, deep gold. Small, thin, white head. Honey-tinged vanilla. Sweet caramel. Hint of lactic acid. Sweet as hell. Like a cream soda, with tons of vanilla, mild lactic, mild acetic acid. I can see the allure and there is a good malt base here, but it's too sweet and artificial for my tastes.

Can pour at the brewery, 1/12/24. Dark, dark beige head quickly to ring. Chocolate, raisin, tobacco, sour fudge? Sour prune, ash, tobacco and red wine. Not the thinnest of bodies, but still a bit too thin. Light vinegar, raisin, caramel, prune. Weird, not wholly unsuccessful but we need more body/texture for beers like this.

Brewery draught, 1/12/24. Clear cranberry. White head quickly to ring. Round lactic acidity and cranberry acid with weird vanilla adjunct sugar and not noticeable peach. Smells like any old kettle sour. Not bad or anything. Malty, minimally tart, has a weird vanilla ice cream character. Lactose-like. Lingering fruit acidity, somewhat vague. Not punchy on the kettle souring. Rather sweet, even.

Can pour from the brewery. Opaque dark cola brown, ring of head. Aroma is roasted malt, subtle mint, tart bile-like quality. Taste is roasted malt, tart fruit, subtle mint. Smooth, soft carbonation and finish as taste. I think they got what they wanted. Not super sour but I'm just not a sour guy.

16 oz can. Thank you Tom on the share. Aroma is a strange mix of peppermint and sour red wine. I remember when I used to homebrew and a batch would go bad. This reminds me of a failed homebrew lots of sour red wine. Not lactobacillus, not Brettanomyces, not Saccharomyces. Just bad bacteria.
