Bottle courtesy of Cindy (Loz's work colleague) cheers Cindy! and consumed at home Sunday 16th December 2018 whilst cooking Lamb Shanks with red wine and balsamic vinegar. Pours almost black with a beige head, a little lactose? not much but appears that there is a little there. Some sweet coffee, it's good but there is no denying it is a one trick pony. Clear dark brown to black beer, big creamy beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots and lots of coffee, some caramel, chocolate, bit sweetish. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, lots of coffee, harsh roast, hoppy, bit sourish. dry, more coffee grit, ashes. Aftertaste: very bitter, dry, hoppy, bit metallic, lots and lots of coffee, decent but not really my thing...

0.33 l bottle from ''t Kleine Uiltje', best before April 2019. Clear, orangeish amber with a large, dense, stable, off-white head. Sweetish, quite fruity, slightly grassy and a bit resiny aroma of orange, tangerine and a touch of pine. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, fruity-resiny and slightly grassy taste of orange, tangerine and pine, followed by a short, medium bitter, rather dry, moderately resiny and slightly grassy finish. Medium body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Pleasant, solid APA/IPA.
