0,33 l bottle with a good looking simple label art. Clear golden in the glass, small head, low CO2. Low grainy in the nose. Strats more like a thinner Helles, later a little bit hop, little bit grain, nothing unusual. A typical nice Lager. (13. April 2012)

0,33 l bottle, bought in a Getränkemarkt in Rheine. A dark amber in the glass, foamy light tanned head. Nearly no visible CO2 pearls. Roasted malt on the nose. Starts really roasted, creamy, low malt bitterness, grainy background, hints of citrus. You ´re on the right way guys!

Mild röstiger Beginn, was sich zum Mittelteil deutlich steigert. Dann auch herber, mild rund würzig. Süßlich röstiger, sehr süffiger Nachhall. Leider kaum hopfig oder bitter, massentauglich. Gut trinkbar. 12/11/11/9//10

Rötlichbraune Farbe, geringer beige Schaumkrone. Geruch süß nach Cola. Geschmack stark nach Cola, etwas Zitrone, überhaupt kein Biergeschmack.

Northern German ’Münchener’ helles from the town of Steinfurt (in a region where nearly every town has its own lager brewery). Dense, mousse-like, creamy, fairly thick, snow white head, colour a pure and cristal clear golden blonde with fine sparkling. Malty aroma with honeyish and a bit cheesy accent, some popcorn, floral hops reminiscent of sage and chamomille. Neutral onset with a sharp carbonation, then turning into a nearly sweetish graininess, mineral water, finishing only lightly and briefly hoppy without ever turning really bitter - one of the main features distinguishing a helles from a Pilsener in modern-day German lagers, I guess. But decent, refreshing and thirst-quenching it certainly is.

On tap in a pub in Münster. Mild-würziger Antrunk, leicht röstig. Sehr mild und nicht sonderlich tiefgehend. Der Hauptteil ist mild-weich, leicht röstmalzig. Eher mild.
--> 10/12/10/10 --- Beer merged from original tick of Rolinck Westfälisch-Alt on 13 Nov 2019 at 21:52 - Score: 6. Original review text: Smooth, mild, Caramel

330ml bottle. Clear, dark chestnut brown colour with average, frothy, collapsing, ochre-beige head. Aroma has a touch of artificial sweetener, notes of cola. Taste is dry, minimally tart, subtle sweetness, cola. Not as sweet as others - that’s nice; extreme acid effect on teeth - considerably unpleasant.
