On tap at the brewery. Pours near black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice deep port note with dark grains and bitter roasted malts supporting. Flavor combines port, dark fruits and dark grains with a bit of roasted malts underlying.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 2/12/2018. Pours moderate hazy/cloudy golden amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big ruby grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, pine, cracker, white bread, light biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big ruby grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, pine, cracker, white bread, light biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of ruby grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, cracker, white bread, light biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from bitterness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is an excellent session IPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish, not aggressive. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Great Citra, Mosaic, Amarillo hop showcase. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; nice pale malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example. One of the better session IPAs I've ever had.

Pours a near black from a can, thick cream colored head. Oak, light vanilla, a little char and coconut/pecans in the nose. Flavor is mostly centered in the nuttiness along with some sweet oakiness. Pretty good beer. I wouldn't call it an impy porter at 6.4% though.
