Can pour into nonic pint glass from The City, Plaistow NH. Appearance is hazy brown with dark reddish hue, fizzy, finger-width light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is caramel malts with light roast, milder vanilla and yeast. Taste is caramel, hint of chocolate and coffee. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thin texture, average carbonation and lightly sweet but mainly bitter roast finish. Overall, though there are hints of a variety of flavors this is mostly a standard brown ale.

Pours slightly hazy/cloudy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with amazing retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big juicy apricots, peach, tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of apricots, citrus/pine/earthy hops, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy apricots, peach, tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of apricots, peach, tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of apricots, citrus/pine/earthy hops, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance. Bit of increasing hop astringency through the glass, but not overwhelming. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 5.9%. Overall this is a nice fruited IPA. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of apricots, citrus/pine/earthy hops, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink, despite the increasingly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Very well balanced between juicy apricots and citrus/dank/earthy hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. A nicely enjoyable and unique offering.

Crisp copper and deep golden coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of citrus, grass, light resin and a moderate amount of malty and cardboardie earthy notes with some nuts in there as well. Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavours at first that dominate with a big earthy bite showing some oats and biscuits, all with a big kick from the resin and light grassy flavours that the hops bring out on the very tail end. Aftertaste shows much more of a malt and grainy bite with some earth and light nuttiness than any real hop profile of any discernible measure. Overall, a decent beer at best, but a pretty mellow and unassuming IPA that doesn't really hit the mark, but also doesn't miss by anything either - just relatively average, which isn't such a bad thing, just another beer that isn't worth trying to find by any means. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased yesterday from Glen-Ro Liquors in Monroe, Connecticut on 10-March-2018 for US$1,00! Sampled on the train from New York to Washington a day later on 11-March-2018.

Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big grapefruit, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, cherry, berry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, cherry, berry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.6%. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink; with the mellowly bitter/drying finish, not aggressive. Old school feeling IPA. Nugget, Amarillo, Simcoe, and Cascade. Well balanced juicy, dank, and earthy/spicy hop complexity; nice sized dark/bready malt backbone, but not overly sweet/heavy feeling. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.

Pours slightly hazy deep ruby red/brown color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, cocoa, brown sugar, brown bread, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of nuttiness, raisin, plum, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, chocolate, cocoa, brown sugar, brown bread, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of nuttiness, raisin, plum, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/grassy/peppery hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of caramel, chocolate, cocoa, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, grass, light dark fruit, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a nice roast/hop bitter/sweet balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is a very good English brown ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Nicely rich English malt complexity; with mild complementing fruity English yeast and earthy hop balance. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. Not really many US breweries doing proper English brown ales these days.

Very good ale, crisp taste with a good aroma. Low IBU makes it a very drinkable beer compared to other ales that tend to overwhelm the palate after awhile.

Bottle. Pours opaque dark brown with foamy beige head, faint caramel malt aroma, high carbonation, medium bitter roasted malt taste, thin body, longish roasted malt finish. A bit thin and single dimensional.
