A dark reddish brown lager with a thin light moka head. A very fruity aroma with light burned caramel and chocolate. In mouth, a light and peaty lager, with light roasted coffee, wooden notes, a bit of herbal funk, but too thin for my liking. Out of the 3 (Blanc, and Original), this is my least favorite. A hazy golden ale with a thick white head. A strong lemony and catty aroma, herbal and wild, not bad. In mouth, a very dryish wit, with light herbaceous touch, but no distinguishing fruitiness of a wit. Bottle from Oliver’s, Albany.

A hazy yellow gold beerwith a thick creamy lacing white head. In aroma, a nice spiced malt with wild herbs, light Brett notes, some white pepper, and coriancer. In mouth, wow, its Saison Dupont, with crips malt, herbal hops, coriander, some crispness to style with pils, meeting a very determined Belgian yeast. I’m glad the SAQ brought those in. Bought at Oliver’s, Albany (as aprt of a mix pack), August 2009.

Bottle: Poured a hazy golden color pilsner with a super huge foamy pure white head with frothy retention and super great lacing- almost reminiscent of Orval. Aroma of semi sweet malt with floral and grassy notes and light dry hoppy finish. Taste is dominated by refreshing semi-sweet malt with light grassy notes and floral undertones and light hoppy Saaz finish. Body is quite full with super great carbonation. Very well done thought more Saaz hops would have benefited this beer.

Cloudy, rich orange coloured, amber tinted body with a super thick dense tan head - this beer is beautiful, albeit with a very thick head! Aroma of fresh hops, malt, caramel, alcohol, oranges and a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied; Very effervescent mouthful with a potent hop kick, a pleasant malt backbone and a very noticeable belgian or german style yeast that lasts on the palate. Aftertaste has quite the punch - a lot of caramel and malt with a little hops still resident. Sweetness dominates the finish though. Overall, a nice beer - I definitely wouldn’t classify this as an APA, more of a Belgian Ale to me at least. Perhaps mine is a different batch - my label reads ABV at 6.2%. Regardless, I’m happy to sample this beer after bringing it back halfway across the world, and cellaring it for a year! I sampled this 375 mL split bottle purchased from New World Grocery store in Auckland, New Zealand on 20-July-2008, sampled at home in Washington on 06-August-2009.

Nice clear golden coloured body with a large frothy white head. Aroma of metal, yeast, wheat and a bit of honey. Medium-bodied; Strong aroma of wheat, coriander seed and curacao - not much else, but not bad. Aftertaste shows some honey and coriander seed with a bit of yeast. Overall, a decent wit, not amazing, but definetly good to try! I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from K&E Discount Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 20-June-2009, sampled on the Fourth of July 2009 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Bottled, thanks TimE! Mahogany colour. Caramelly and resiny. Medium bodied with deep, deep layers of caramel. More tar and citrus, mostly toffee and caramel. Lingering but careful bitterness. More warming than refreshing.

Bottled, thanks TimE! Cloudy golden, rich head. Aroma of canteloupe and peppermint. Fairly swee twith orange and cherry. Yeasty and fruity with obscure clean mouthfeel and a chewy center. Lively with confusing, yet restrained flavours.
