500ml can bought at a supermarket in Dubrovnik. Golden body with just a filmy surface. Pale malty to the nose. Grassy hops in flavour with a touch of banana to the finish. Smooth and rather sweet (hotel room, 29.08.2008).

Bottle: Reddish-amber coloured with a small lacy beige head; delicate sweetish-caramelly nose with a light bitter-malty touch; light to moderate sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; sweet-malty finish with a very, very light bitterness in the very end. A bit on the sweet side, but not too unpleasant.......

Light golden yellow color, rather thin and quickly fading head. Aroma of malt; lighter than their Spezial. Light to medium body, medium to more carbonation, slightly thin malt taste, little sweetness. Little depth, but decent balance. Good hops but not pronounced. A tinge of fruityness goes with them. Decent well balanced finish of malt and hops. A light beer, but very good drinking and well-balanced at that. Great with curry.

Bottle in Vienna, 2006. Just a touch darker than gold. Full head. Aroma of deep malt, hops, fruit. A touch of grass. Deep fruity malt flavor, decent hops, some grass slightly buttery. Very good, but not quite as complicated as their Stammbrau. You can just about taste the alcohol in this one too.

Bottle in Vienna, 2006. Bright, golden yellow. Not so large head. Good malt aroma, slightly sweet, with hops as well. Rather complicated flavor. Strong hops and pretty strong malt. A tinge of sweetness more than balanced by hop bitterness. Medium body, high carbonation. Flavors of grass, fruit. Slightly bitter and also malty finish. Good beer, not overly exciting, but few faults.

(bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a mid-sized, collapsing light-beige foamy head. Sweet and nutty toast-malty nose with shades of caramel. Sweet flavour, light bodied with a moderate, slightly crispy carbonation. Toast-malty taste with residual malty sweetness; quite plain and sweet, slightly toasted finish. Rather imbalanced Dunkel, which tastes like a Hvidøl with more alcohol, thus a tad too sweet for my liking (26.08.08).

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Slightly dusty and moderately sweet malty nose with a touch of grains and plastic. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft, almost a bit flat carbonation. Pale malty, slightly grainy taste with a sweet and faint bitter and slightly sticky finish. Not an overly amazing Helles (07.08.08).

(swing top bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a medium sized foamy white head. Fresh aroma: slightly sweet grainy malty nose with a touch of citrus and herbal hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Soft malty and subtle fruity base with a light but aromatic hops-character; a bit slim but clean and refreshing fruity and herbal hoppy finish. Nice one (05.08.08).

Bügelverschlußflasche: Pale golden to golden with a quickly vanishing white head; solid sweet-grainy to sweet-malty nose with a fruity background; light to moderate sweet (grainy)-bitter flavour, medium bodied; more sweet-malty than hoppy finish. Good, chewy Helles.......
