Bought a Fasstyp at Spar in Semriach to see is it the same beer as Kaiser Beer sold here, as my notes said it is a pilsener. 0.5 l can, just as the one I took from a local store, too.
Anyway, Fasstyp poured pale golden body with medium head. Herbal and lemon hops dominating in aroma, but the malts are still felt. Flavor slightly sweetish, but bitterish also at moments with herbal notes all the time. Relatively full bodied, with long sweet finish. This was another batch comparing to the other one of course, but I still think this Kaiser Beer is the same thing. Not bad not so good either, rather one of those average.

0,5 l can. Same on the photo, just written "Kaiser Beer". This is a pilsener. Yellow/pale yellow body, medium carbonation, smaller white head. Aroma of citrus hops with somewhat pale malt. Flavor quite full, well balanced, just lot of metal is felt inside (maybe of can?). Oily texture, quite short, a bit bitter finish. Average lager.

A gold lager with a thin lacing white head. Aroma is lightly sweet and herbal, a bit chalky. In mouth, a rather light malt with mineral qualities, light metallic bitterness. Boring. 500 mL can from LCBO.

Bottled (BB 12/2007)
Dark ruby color, brown fluffy head. Cheap dried leafs -like hoppy aroma, rye bread and hints of caramel. Saccharine-sweet flavor, brown sugar, some malts and smooth mouthfeel. Leaves artifically sweetened flavor to the mouth. Like drinking Sinebrychoff’s Perhekalja. This is actually not a dunkel, flavor is more like in "malta".
