Clear dark brown with a non-existing head. Aroma purely of nuts and coffee, not a bad thing, just not true to the style. Bitter chocolate and coffee flavours roam in the taste as well as a slight nuttiness. Aftertaste clean, not much going on at all. Overall, a decent scotch ale, not amazing, but worth trying if you are here at the brewpub! I had this on draught at the brewpub in Rochester, New York on 13-March-2004.
