Description
The Oslo was the start of Galway Bay Brewery and remains our flagship pub based in Salthill; our owners Jason O’Connell and Niall Walsh added a brewery on site in 2009, making The Oslo one of the country’s first brew pubs. Since then Galway Bay Brewery has expanded operations to 11 bars based in Galway and Dublin and have grown and re-positioned the Brewery just outside of Galway in Oranmore. We now produce four core beers along with a plethora of rotational beers that are released throughout the year.

With the installation of our new brew house we are turning our focus towards exporting and making our beers available in the UK and Europe

From tap. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruity and peachy. Dry, bitter. Crisp hoppy. Fruity. Dry and solid hoppy. Crisp hoppy finish.

From tap. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is peachy and grapefruity. . Peachy and solid hoppy. Bitter, dry. Crisp hoppy. Fruity and crisp hoppy finish.

Tap. Hazy yellow color with white head. Aroma is spicy yeasts, bananas, dough, earthy, fizzy candy. Taste is banana cream, a bit tart, spicy yeasts. Medium carbonation, oily mouthfeel. Not convincing.

Tap. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is white head. Aroma is grassy, oats, milky, maracuja. Taste is grassy, maracuja, mango, juicy, but quite light-bodied. Oily mouthfeel, low carbonation. Good.

Tap. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is fresh grassy hops, biscuity, grapefruit. Taste is grassy biscuity. Silky mouthfeel, medium to high carbonation. Refreshing and good!

From tap. Pors clear and golden. Orange with a small white head. Aroma is grassy and slight straw. Bitter, skunky and grassy. Bitter and solid herbal. Dry and herbal. Dry hoppy and herbal far finish.

Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: very roasted, banana, bit yeasty, dusty, cacao powder. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter start, pretty roasted, soft bitterness, some caramel, coffee notes. Aftertaste: roasted, bitter, pretty hoppy finish. How is this a "sweet " stout? Tasted rather bitter to me...

Clear orange beer, small creamy white head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: yeasty, malts, grains, spicy, weird, bit unpleasant. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: grains, hay, cow fodder, pretty boring. Aftertaste: metallic bitterness, unpleasant malty finish, nope, don't like this one...
