Cask in a field between Oddington & Charlton on Otmoor, for ’The Hangy’ (New Zealand event) 09.10.10 Pours gold perfectly gold with a beautiful white head, looks like quite lovely. There is an excellent balance of bittersweetness. There is a nice citrussy furry bitterness across the roof of the mouth, good maltiness, really tasty beer, crisp but then softens, lovely stuff. Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 04.10.10 Pours black with a creamy off-white head. The taste is less hoppy than I expected but it does indeed finish a little hoppy and bitter. In truth it’s a fairly standard but likeable Mild, some dark fruits and chocolate & burnt malts. It’s a bit thin on the palate, served a touch on the warm side. Its ok. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark roasted, overripped raisin, soy sauce. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, soya - vinegar, licorice. Cask@GBBF2010. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, wood, some mild dough as well as mild herbal notes. Flavour is being quite much the same with quite much grassy and hayish notes as well. Fruity and nectary notes as well. Aftertaste is fruits and hay.

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is spiced, herbal and vague phenolic. Dry and phenolic flavoured. Bitter and dry malty into the finish.

Cask. Pours an opaque black with a small beige head. Lightly tart and fruity nose with hard roasted or even burned malt accents. Quite full-bodied, hard roasted malt, dried fruit and then again an underlying slight fruity tartness. Some bitterness from the malts in the finish. 210110
