Cask @ 3 Judges. Golden colour, off-white head. Aroma of vegetables, slight malts. Flavour of sweet malts, grassy hops. Slightly dry, fairly bitter.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2010. Black colour, ruby edges. Crunchie butter toffee aroma. Butterscotch. Horrible. I can’t drink it. The biggest diacetyl bomb I’ve ever come across.

Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen on 5th Marh. Gold with partly lacing white head. Yeasty smoky aroma then strong smoked cheese kick which is very much an acquired taste. Citric notes follow before a bitter finish on a pleasantly textured mouthfeel. Excellent.

Cask-conditioned at the Inn on the Green, Bristol 18/02/10. Golden in colour with next to no head. Sweet malt and citrus aroma with a hint of spicing. Flavour had ginger and coriander notes, before a sweetish, orange blossom hop finish. Ok.

Cask handpull at Market Porter. Pale gold, lasting white head. Asectic sherberty hop on aroma. It’s ok if a bit too ascetic to be really pleasant.

Cask. Pours a dark brown - close to black - with an orange hue and a small off-white head. Nose is vaguely buttery first but then comes burned caramel, dried fruit and wood. Quite full-bodied, flat, raisins and woody notes with a warming alcohol finish. 180110

Cask@Market Porter, London. Amber colour, beige small foamy head. Aroma is xmas cookies, sweet malts, some slight caramelly notes as well as mild nuttyness. Flavour is fruity, a bit Xmas cookielike aong with some spices and wood.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 11/12/09. Dark amber in colour with a slight, off-white head. Sweetish aroma of caramel, red fruits and slightly spicy hops. Flavour was much the same with a decent, bitter finish. Ok.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 19/11/09. Deep gold in colour with a moderate, off-white head. An easy-drinking session beer with an aroma of grassy hops and sweet malts. The flavour had biscuit malts, apricot and a decent, bitter finish. Good.
