Cask (handpump) @ Market Porter, 9 Stoney Street, Southwark London, Greater London England SE1 9AA.Clear medium orange color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, lemon, notes off toffee and nutty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20081231]

Light amber coloured body with a bit of an off-white coloured head. Aroma of strong malt, light hops and a tiny bit of spice. Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavour with a touch of caramel and pit fruits, all with a hoppy overtone. Aftertaste shows mild malt, alcohol and a generally subtle hop balance. Overall, a good beer - not amazing, but definitely worth trying! I sampled this beer on cask at The Market Porter in Borough, London, England on 13-December-2008.

Cask, half pint at Cloisters Bar. Very nice rosewood body with just a ring of bubbles on the top. Aroma shortage of fruity malts. A touch of hop resin in flavour with sparse hints of caramel malts. Easy going beer [Edinburgh, 26.10.2008].

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 29/11/08. Deep gold with no head. Sweetish, corny aroma with a touch of hay. Sweet malt flavour to start, before plenty of bitterness and a hoppy, dry finish. Ok.

On gravity at Swindon BF 30/10/08. Dark brown with reddish undertones and an off-white head. Slight aroma of toffee and nuts. Flavour had a dull sweetness, some earth and a slight roastiness before a short, dry finish. Tasted straight after Ascot’s On The Rails and did not compare well.

cask at cloisters ... nice ruby ... light malt almost no nose ... toffee and dry hops ... some roast but bit too heavy in hops for me .... medium carbonation... light to medium bidy ..
