Bottle.Hazy yellow colour with medium head.Aroma of coriander and yeast,lively body and nice hint of citrus and yeast,nice spicey and fresh with hint of cookie and malt.

Bottle (not sure where from), consumed at home Tuesday 22nd January 2019 whilst cooking Ham, Pea and crispy Onion soup with Feta. Pours gold, good clarity with a white head. This is a rather decent straightforward Belgian beer, nothing complicated or out of the ordinary but there is a nice bitter edge, its got a pleasant sweetness but certainly not too sweet. Like it. Triste Noël avec cette Bellerose, très médiocre, qui est plutôt à réserver aux zythologues qui n’ont pas été sages durant l’année. Le plus affligeant est surtout du côté des arômes…aucune complexité et linéaire…c’est plat et sans grand intérêt avec caramel, orange, girofle et petite pointe de poivre. N’attendez pas non plus que celle-ci vous réchauffe, l’alcool à 7 % n’y arrive en aucun cas. Bref, on n’est pas à la fête avec cette Bellerose, que ce soit à Noël, à Pacques ou autre…En verre, l’ambré foncé est limpide et surmonté d’une mousse beige de 3 mm. Le nez est plat : caramel, orange girofle sans âme. Le brasseur a tenté avec ce duo orange/girofle donné une âme de Noël à sa bière…mais pour cela une base plus riche et un alcool plus élevé aurait été nécessaire. Dès l’attaque, les arômes dévoilés au nez sont présents sans surprise, sans relief. Le reste en sera de même, à part une amertume légèrement plus intense en seconde bouche. La texture est de plus trop fine pour le genre, l’ampleur trop limitée mais heureusement avec une longueur appréciable. Celle-ci ne sauve en rien cette Bellerose qui ne vous fera pas trouver l’esprit de Noël.

F: huge, egg-white, creamy, long lasting. C: gold, hazy, a lot of yeasty debris floated in. A: malty, orange, dusty, caramel, spicy, peach, floral, yeasty. Original review text: 33cl bottle from E.Leclerc Argences supermarket near Caen in France. F: big, white tan, good retention. C: dark brown, bit hazy. A: weird herbal malty, some caramel, passion fruits, floral touch. T: dark malty base, pine, mint, passion fruits, orange, medium body and carbonation, without flaws technical yet hard to rate this, partially enjoyed.

Clear red brown beer, big creamy beige head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: malty, grains, hay, bit funky. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, hoppy touch, soft roast, bitter, funky, caramel, sweet. Aftertaste: malty, caramel, overripe banana, unpleasant bitterness, soft roast.
