Dullish pale with a thin head. Big lavender aroma, lots of lavender and lots of bitterness.

Opaque, dullish tho, no head, gets on the soupy side but has a decent fruity note.

Amber, slight haze, no head. Medium bitterness, some toasty biscuit malt but a bit clunky.

Dark brown, medium brown, toffee and dark sugars. Moderate bitterness but just enough. This hits well for me.

Slight haze, touch of amber. Light body, slight fruitiness, a bit yeasty tho. So Am Wheat with a twist.

Draft pour pint at Flying Bike. Memory lane stop here, talking about old 2016 brews, while enjoying a delicous fresh 2022 rye lager. Copper clean pour. Patchy head. Flavorful lager with plenty of nutty and spicy malts. Crisp finish. Long lasting gritty, nutty finish. No shortage of taste with this lager as expected. Very nice per usual from these guys.

MiiR, Seattle: pours golden with white head. Aroma is bready, lightly fruity. Taste is lightly bitter, a bit of grain. Easy drinking and easy to chug proper.

Hazy, dull, pale, no head. Vinegary chile nose and palate, with a touch of sweet but doughy pale malt. So malts do nothing and the chile isn’t done well either.

Hazy, lots of sage on the nose, and a lot of that again on the palate, and maybe some juniper. Nice balance.

Amber, sweet but fruity, bubblegummy, Just does not come together. Even if you’re just book-smart on beer styles, ain’t nothing about bubblegum on the Scotch Ale page.
