Ein Kirschbier, das mit einer großen Handvoll Aromahopfen wie Taurus, Cascade, Simcoe und Chinook gebraut wurde. Das mag ganz nett sein -aber warum gibt man sich so viel Mühe mit dem Hopfen, wenn man es dann eh mit Kirsch versetzt? Dadurch kann es seine Stärken nicht wirklich ausspielen und außer Bonuspunkten für die Spezialität kann man keine Topplatzierung geben. Für Kirschbierfreunde auf jeden Fall ein tolles Ber, aber um den Aromahopfen ist es fast schade.

Die Brauerei Lucky Bastard ist inzwischen recht bekannt -besonders in ihrer Heimatstadt Brünn. Ein IPA darf natürlich im Sortiment einer Craftbrauerei nicht fehlen und es wundert mich, dass ich es bislang noch nicht gekostet habe. Es hat mir wirklich sehr geschmeckt, da es weiß, wo man die richtigen Akzente setzt: Ein bisschen Zitrus da, ein wenig Grasigkeit dort und dabei einen ganz leichten Fruchtton. Und das ohne übertrieben zu sein. So erwarte ich mir, dass ein ausgezeichnetes IPA ist.

Barva tmavsi do medena. Pena husta a trvanliva. Vune citrusy, chmel, malinko ovoce. Chut lehce ovoce, vyssi stredni horkost. Stredni az lehci telo, citrusovy dojezd. Chutna pitelna ipa, pekne vyvazena. Tipoval bych nizsi voltaz. Druhy taste: ananas

Tap at Zil verne. Med-thin body, moderate carbonation. Feels a bit oxidized. Moderate caramelly maltiness, med-light sweetness, a touch of over-ripe fruit esters. Medium bitterness, moderate fruity hops character, mostly red fruits, berries, light citrusy. Overall a decent CPA.

Lucky Bastard Thirsty Thirteen. Tap at their Beerhouse. Shiny misty dark orange-red, off white head. Dry aroma, mix of minerally notes, maltiness and yeastiness. Seems lean, but the fruity-caramelly taste kicks in quite in a full manner. Ending a bit herbal, bit stale but thankfully quickly. Not as bad as the Blond but similar issues...

Tap at the LB Beerhouse. Lovely if just slightly hazy golden body, white head. Mild citric notes mixing with a dry, lightly leathery maltiness. The taste is weird... reminds me of this cough syrup I had as a kid with weird caramelly-flowery notes and trace... smokey/minerally notes? Huh... Not a fan.
