Boca 0,5L - iz paketa od 5 piva!
Zanimljiv hoppy lager, više za ljetne dane nego za Advent

Bottled 500ml. -from Medvedgrad Ilica. Murky yellow/orange coloured, medium sized white head, citrusy and discreet coconut in the nose. Citrusy, fruity, light tangerine and touch of coconut with light herbal notes in the finish. Juicy and easy-drinkable.

50cl bottle at Pivnica Medvedgrad Ilica, Zagreb, Croatia. Pours slightly pale gold, medium transparent, with fine white foam. Aroma is citrus, lemony, a little spiced. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is medium sweet, a little too unidimensional. Final is average.

0.50l bottle from Beer Shop Pomalo. Aroma of citrus, passion fruit, pine and resin. Pours hazy dirty yellow color with huge soapy white head, yeast residue and sparkling appearance. Taste starts juicy tropical fruity and biscuity,
following is bready, herbal and medicinal, mouthfeel is smooth with rather dry and bitter finish. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Nice mountaineer’s refreshment…

Bottle picked up from Pivnica Medvedgrad Samoborska two weeks ago today. However we're back home today Friday 12th September 2025 after a six hour drive from Samobor nr Zagreb. Sat drinking this in the dining room listening to Emily Pilbeam sitting in for Nathan Shepherd on Indie Forever show 6Music. Back to the beer, wow 😲 this is a real old skool banger 💥 Impy', the looks, aroma, taste bang on. Pours pitch black with a slim off white creamy textured head. On the nose this is roasty from the off, fab' balance, roasty bitterness, there's a huge black treacle and molasses get together going on here, a little sticky and oily this is fabulous, wonderfully thick in the mouth. This is a real shocker didn't expect it to be such a big hitter, but fuck it hits the mark, no bollocksy adjuncts that I am aware of just a straight up big Impy.

Bottle picked up from Plodine supermarket Orebic, Pelješac peninsula Croatia and consumed at Auto Camp Sani, Brodarica nr Sibenik Monday 8th September 2025. Pours warm gold with a mid/large white head, head didn't last do long but we have plastic Hefeweissen glasses for use in the camper, so perhaps this has a negative effect. There's a little banana coming through and as Loz says a pleasant tangy/tartness, it's quite nice. Soft mouthfeel, nice carbonation, well balanced, nice wheatiness throughout. Pretty good.

Bottle picked up from Pivnica Medvedgrad Samoborska last Friday and consumed sat outside Frank at Camp Riviera Makarska this Friday the 5th September 2025 after another walk from the campsite into Makarska. Pours dark brown with a brief head of slim off white film, excellent clarity, looks good. The taste is good there is toffee, dried fruit, caramel etc but like many barley wines the sweetness can be a bit overwhelming. It's a good beer, but the hoppiness is muted and all told it's a bit too sweet for me. Barley wines are a tricky style to pull off, I guess I prefer the big American style ones such as Bigfoot but English style can be excellent but it's just a bit more difficult.

Bottle picked up from a local supermarket and consumed Tuesday 2nd September 2025, after a 7.7km walk to Korchula Old Town. We're sat outside Frank at Campeggio Vela Postrana, Lumbarda. Pours light/mid amber with an off white head, nice maltiness, a little sweetness, some dark fruits. Solid if unexciting Doppelbock, tangy backend. Fine.
