From bottle. Floral hops, grassy, grainy, zesty, slightly metallic, malty. Dry hoppy bitterness, floral malty sweetness. Light to medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry hoppy floral bittersweet finish. A solid craft Pilsner.

We visited Pivnica Medvedgrad Samoborska, Friday 29th August 2025 after a 6-7 hour drive from home, we walked here from Zmajska Pivovara. However I had this back at Frank in the carpark of Zmajska Pivovara. Btw I had Pivnicke Kobasice sa Zapecenim Grahom for tea and stupidly ordered a side order of chips it was huge (Sausages with Homemade Baked Beans). Anyway onto the beer, Pours brownish coloured with a small/medium sized beige head, nose suggests this is going to be super sweet, molasses, malt, dried fruits. Taste is very malty, have to confess I was confused by this and the other bottles I picked up tonight and thought this was the barley wine. Alcohol a little too prevalent, sweetness a bit too much, usual Belgian characteristics are hidden somewhat. *Parking update, I guy came and knocked on the door, we shouldn't have been parking here as it's private property (he was security) he was super nice let us off.

We visited Pivnica Medvedgrad Samoborska, Friday 29th August 2025 after a 6-7 hour drive from home. I just ordered Pivnicke Kobasice sa Zapecenim Grahom, it was huge (Sausages with Homemade Baked Beans). Anyway onto the beer, it pours hazy gold, there's a very aromatic, almost perfume nose, taste is nicely bitter, dry, soft mouthfeel, really good hoppiness, actually very dry. Nice.

On tap at Pivnica Medvedgrad Samoborska, Zagreb, Croatia Friday 29th August 2025, it was a 20-25 min walk from Zmajska Pivovara taproom. *Btw this is 6.5%, so might be a separate entry? Pours hazy yellow with a mid sized white head, nice super soft mouthfeel, drinks very easy for the abv, nice undercurrent of bitterness, a little soft lemon edge. Nice IPA.

Bottle at Pivnica Medvedgrad Samoborska, Zagreb, Croatia Friday 29th August 2025, it was a 20-25 min walk from Zmajska Pivovara taproom. Pours clear gold with a large white head, soft mouthfeel, a little bitterness but not overly so, a little fruity tang but much like the Zmajska Pivovara pils this is not a great interpretation of the style but it's absolutely fine.

Bottle, 0.5l. Hazy golden pour, three finger creamy off-white head, long lasting, very good retention, sticky lacing on the glass. Nice on the nose, citrus, pineapple. Tropical and juicy. Notes of coconut and pine in the background.
Medium body, medium carbonation, lively. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, soft, chewy, slightly fizzy, refreshing. Easily drinkable. Nicely balanced juicy bittersweet taste. Aroma of tropical fruits, citrus peel, grapefruit, passion fruit, pineapple. Grassy notes, pine, coconut. Oats, herbal notes. Quite creamy. Lovely grapefruit aftertaste. Medium lasting finish, dry, juicy, lingering hop bitterness.
Quite tasty.

Bottle, gift. Toasted malt with caramel, some toffee and dried fruit, some raisin. Moderate sweet and light bitter. Toasty, bit nutty and fruity. Fine.

Bottle, gift. Malty with notes of grassy/floral hop, grain. Moderate bitter and slightly sweetish. Easy, acceptable Lager with a decent bitter finish.
