Description

Sample from trade with Sjogro, cheers Sjoerd! Amber gold colour, short-lived thin fizzy white foam head and aroma of caramel, earthy. Taste is mellow apple, fleshy, alittle apple skin, woody, light funk with vanilla & caramel hints plus some earthy tannin. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tannic finish. Nicely drinkable

Bottle bought at the door in Normandy, recommended experience. Brought home and shared at Maakun’s. Clear dark golden with no head. Mushy apples, yellow apples, some gone brown, soft oakey and saucey, but damn is this dry. Massive dry apple peel. Medium body and low carbonation. Bit watery aroma but I like the unique Le Pressoir vibes going on, something wet moldy earthy to it.

Clear dark golden to light amber with short lasting white head. Dry dusty apple, dead leaves, huge cry cellar funk, soft matches, earthy, old wood and dry leather. Light sweet and bitter, very light sour. Medium bodied, bone and bone dry. 🦴 🍁

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Almost clear golden, not much bubbles going on. Sweet apple, light caramel, orange, woody, more citrus, flowery, caramel. Under medium sweet and tart, quite light bitter. Under medium bodied, low carbonation and bone dry. Interesting stuff.

Bottle bought from the man himself at the source after following the signs with “calvados•pommeau•cidre->” we came across while on our way to Cidre Dupont. Opened and shared in the Airbnb in Normandy. Pours clear golden with some bubbles. Soft sweet and meally apples, some hints of anise, fruity, plums, light cobwebby, wet cellar walls, thin watery aroma’s and dry in the finish. Moderate sweet and bitter, faintest sour note. Medium body and low carbonation. Looking forward to the other bottles. --- Beer merged from original tick of Le Pressoir Cidre Doux on 15 Aug 2019 at 00:17 - Score: 7. Original review text: *First!*
