Description
Appie was born out of a crazy idea: rediscover cider! It’s a fresh look on an underrated product. It’s the story of how 5 passionate old friends got together. It’s the elaboration of innovative cider recipes, imagined by passionate people who got tired of not finding ciders that suit them. It’s a new freshness, a move away from the classic trio made of galette, crêpe and a bowl of cider. The idea is to democratise drinks that are made of contemporary blends, while respecting French traditional know-how.

330ml bottle shared with Sophie in Eecke during the famous covid lockdown of 2020. Clear pale gold. Nice pleasant ginger on the nose. Taste largely sees the ginger dominate with a nice underlying poire sweetness. Nice and summery.

75cl bottle shared with Soph. Pours clear gold. Fleshy stewed apple toffee aroma. Quite crisp with noticeable apple skin / apple core coming to the fore, nice quenching drinkability with a great keeved fruit character, hints of brown sugar and toffee apple. Nice balance. Maybe a hint of dusty perry pear tannin, pretty decent overall.
