Description
Goldwater Brewing Co. began with a family tradition of brewing, rooted in Chad and Dillon McClelland’s childhood experiences with their father, Greg, an avid home brewer since 1986. What started as a hobby in their garage evolved into a shared passion, leading to the establishment of a 10bbl brewery with three locations.

The turning point came when Chad, inspired by his travels through craft beer scenes worldwide, decided to turn their family passion into a professional endeavor. With full support from Greg, Dillon, and their brother-in-law, Jimmy, the family set out to build their dream. After months of planning, experimenting, and overcoming challenges, Goldwater Brewing Co. officially opened its doors on May 1, 2015.

Their success stems from the combined strengths of each member: Greg’s business acumen, Chad’s brewing expertise, Dillon’s creative vision, and Jimmy’s operational skills. Together, they’ve built a brand known for quality, innovation, and community. As they continue to grow and introduce new, exciting beers, the family remains committed to their roots and the people who have supported them from the start.

Cheers to the future of fresh, local craft beer!

Dark brown. Medium brown, thin head. Has a sweet, slightly toffeeish malt note. Sweet, burnt dates, I won’t say it’s good but it is fun. I actually don’t get much vinous, but I get a big tannic, boozy finish.

Muddy and gross looking. Thin head. Smells like a mess...some weird fruits, weird barrels and a lot of barrel sweetness. A huge miss. For a beer with no obvious faults, this is just abjectly bad.

Hazy dull amber, and no head. All kinds of chewy on the nose, big alcholic whack, lots of bitterness. Chewy old school.

Haze, thin head, mostly tropical with a little dank. Dry body, low bitterness than is barely balanced ...just enough sugar left. I like the bright fruity notes but the balance isn’t necessarily there.

Murky, no head. Soft, moderately bitter, and not much malt. Good hops in here but not as bright as I’d hope.

Cloudy, not much head. Some orange and grapefruit and maybe melon. Aroma is more cantaloupe.

Haze, light tan. Thin head. Soft hop nose. On the palate, nice rich citrusy bitterness, good balance with just a kiss of sweet malt.

32oz crowler pours with a nearly clear gold body that supports a thin white head of foam. The aroma offers up grapefruit, clementine, a bit of soft warm cantaloupe and then a thin sharp floral note. The taste delivers a blend of soft sweet cantaloupe and bitter grapefruit and citrus peel. To midway it picks up a pleasing yet thin cracker like maltiness. Pretty nice and tangy with forward bitter citrus hoppiness.

Poured up on tap at Tipsy Cactus where it exhibits a murky gold body that supports a thin off white head of foam. The aroma offers up lemon, lime, grapefruit and then a dash of clementine mixed with a mild wild yeast note. The taste delivers similar notes as well as a thin pleasing cracker maltiness shows up into the finish. Solid refreshing brew.

Pint can pours with a murky deep rosy plum colored body that supports a thin white head of foam that has a thin pink hue. The aroma offers up a hint of strawberry buried in earthy melon and a bit of grapefruit. The taste delivers pink grapefruit intertwined with melon and a bit of strawberry. To midway it picks up additional thin notes of cantaloupe and tangy, berry guava and lime. This is juicy and creates tangy fruity refreshment. I can drink this all day. Yes.
