440ml can. Cloudy to hazy, yellow-ish, bright golden colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Tropical and citrusy fruity hoppy aroma, sugary, pale and crystal malty, minimally oaty background, notes of lemon, orange, mandarine, some mango and peach, minimally waxy, zesty overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally sugary, pale and crystal malty, minimally oaty as well as citrusy and tropical fruity hoppy, notes of lemon, orange, mandarine, mango, peach, minimally waxy, zesty overtones. Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft, still mildly prickly carbonation. Relatively sweet (definitely a tad too sugary), pretty juicy, fruity hoppy - not bad.

Large can from Beer 52. Berry fruits dominate the nose, but with a hint of mulled wine too. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a strong dark beige (almost reddish) head. Initial impression in the mouth is of the bitterness of coffee grounds (though no actual coffee taste). Further sampling gives a strong liquorice flavour along with toffee, burnt sugar and aniseed. Bitterness returns in the finish, but is now more hoppy – and the 7% strength beings to show at last. A really nice drink, but could have done with a tad more porter character.
