Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque black with a creamy, light brown head. Roasty nose, a little tar op there. Rich, malty sweet body - thick and almost syrupy. Very hard to believe that this is not more than 5% ABV! Smooth, heavy English licorice, a vague roasty tartness, but the main impression is sweet. Quite a pleasant surprise. 080818

Bottle 50 cl. Pours golden, slightly hazy, with a dense, white head. Dusty, chalky nose - absolutely no fresh hop aroma. Medium body, sweet maltiness, almost somewhat overripe fruit - fairly bitter finish. But again: totally lacking on the aroma side. Not horrible, just not really refreshing at all. 070818

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a hazy nutty brown with hardly any head - extremely pale for a Stout. Roasty, coffeeish nose - slightly ashy. Medium body, carbonation to the low side, sweet caramel, not really ashy - the dark notes all seem to come from the coffee. And the whisky - well, where is the whisky?? More Coffee Brown than Coffee Stout. 280618

Bottle 50 cl. According to the label a hybrid between a Belgian Blond and an Oktoberfest - now that's a first! Pours a hazy golden with a small, white head. Slightly yeasty, estery spicy nose - as in a Belgian Blond. Medium body, fruity, subdued phenols, dryish finish. Fairly straight and decent example of the style. 280618
