Cask at St Albans Beer & Cider Festival, St Albans, Herts. A golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white bubbly head on top. Sweetish, coffee, chocolate and vanilla taste/aroma. Not particularly exciting.

Gravity cask at the 28th St Albans Beer Festival, 26/09/25.
Golden to light amber topped with an off white cap.
Nose is coffee cake icing, airy malts, breads, grains.
Taste comprises coffee grinds, vanilla essence, toasted sugars, soft malts.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close.
Fun for what it is but overly sweet and a small sample is more than enough.

Cask at GBBF 25. Clear amber-gold. Frothy bubbly translucent white head. Aroma combines light coffee and syrupy sweetness. Flavourwise itnhas a wave of sweet with some coffee surfing on the crest. Sugary sweetness lingers. Chewy malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick and sticky. Soft carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Nice enough if overly sugary sweet.

7/8/2025. Cask at GBBF 2025. Lots of coffee, white chocolate, vanilla pod, slight spiced notes. Quite sweet, mild bitterness. Interesting. But sugary sweet.

27/9/2024. Cask at St. Albans Beer & Cider Festival 2024. Pours slightly unclear bronze brown with minimal head. Aroma is malty, spiced, tea, medicinal, mushroom, earthy, dried fruits. Medium sweetness, medium developing bitterness, hint of sour. Medium body, oily, average to soft carbonation. Bitter herbal finish. Unusual brew and quite enjoyable.

Cask at the St Albans beer festival 2024. A clear amber coloured pour with a loose off white head. Aroma is semi sweet, toffee, earthy malts, leaf, bark. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, toffee, umami malushroom vibes, tea leaves, green liquorice. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, good cask condition. Bit odd.

Cask at GBBF 2023 - Day 1. Pours clear brown with a small, creamy khaki head. Light sweet flavour with notes or well toasted malts, bit of rubber, earth. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly sweet finish, more earth and rubber. So so.
