On tap at Foghorn Brewhouse, pours a clear straw colour with a small white head. Aroma brings out clean biscuity malt and light floral notes. Flavour brings out nice piney hops and biscuity malt. Very restrained but not quite an IPA. Really nice pale.

On cask at Foghorn Brewhouse, pours black with a reddish tinge and a medium tan head. Aroma brings out English malt and a little cocoa. Flavour is soft with English malt and dry cocoa. Flat mouthfeel with not much dynamics. Meh.

On tap at Foghorn Brewhouse, pours a hazy pale copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out citrus notes, lemongrass and light farmhouse funk. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of lemongrass notes upfront, followed by citrus and biscuity malt. Not too bad, but completely inauthentic. Okay.

On tap at Foghorn Brewhouse, pours a reddish dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and a decent hoppy component. Flavour is along the same lines, tasting more like a black IPA, with lots of roasted malt, almost burnt notes, and piney hops. Robust and well-balanced. Excellent.

On tap at Foghorn Brewhouse, pours a hazy dark copper orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out perfumey notes in the hop department. Flavour brings out lots of perfumey hops, with some dirty yeast, and some light caramel malt. A little dirty but it's decently balanced and tastes better than it smells. Solid.

On tap at Foghorn Brewhouse, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of metallic and piney hops, and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of piney hops, a fair degree of metallic astringency and biscuity malt. A little sharp but quite pleasant.

On tap at Foghorn Brewhouse, pours a dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and biscuity malt. Flavour is weak, with toasted malt and light biscuity malt. Weak but clean. Go for the Severus - much better.

On tap at Foghorn Brewhouse, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is very light, with biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with biscuity malt and a touch of English hoppiness. Bland and weak, but clean enough. Meh.
