Description

750ml wired cork bottle from trade courtesy of sjogro, cheers Sjoerd! Opened with a pop. Golden colour, foamy white head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of fruity apple, green apple, cooking apple. Taste is tangy, citric, fleshy apple, green apple, some core and skin, with acidic notes. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry earthy acidic finish. Quite drinkable.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Hazy yellow with no head. Dry apples, quite herbal, strong apple peel, minerals and CO2, light metallic, dry earthy notes, pear. Very light sweet, almost medium bitter and light sour. Medium bodied and solid dry finish with soft sparkly carbonation. Nice but a bit too bitter from what I guess are goudrenet apples.

Bottle shared at home. Hazy pale yellow with short lasting bubbles. Hard green sour apples, red and yellow sweet apples, mealy yellow apples and unripe pear. Slightly supple would be an overstatement. Dry, sour and wry. Apple stem woodiness, over medium fruity sourness and hint of yellow “Napoleon” brand sweet/sour hardcandies. Medium body and low carbonation. --- Beer merged from original tick of Cider Brut on 18 Apr 2019 at 19:38 - Score: 7.
