Shared bottle at Hege and Hans Tore's, Mandal. Aroma of hay, flowers, some bready and fruity notes. Tastes pretty sweet. Thin bodied, fruity and kind of dry finish.

Bottle. It pours a minimal sized off-white head over an almost clear golden colored body. The aroma is very yeasty at first, almost like fresh bakers yeast, but luckily that scent soon diminishes. Some notes of heavy cream and fresh butter too, but it's mostly on the fruity side, with resemblance to certain Belgian yeasts. Pear, peach hints, some citrus and grass, bread dough and a touch of pale malts. It's medium bodied and with a good carbonation, semi-dry, with little bitterness. The flavor is mostly fruity, with doughy, yeasty notes and pale malts in the back. Hay too. Medium length finish. Sort of cloying in the swallow, but not really sticky. Sort of Tripel-ish this one, but still not, as there's some layers of aroma and flavor that shouldn't be found in a Tripel. Nice, but sure not an all-nighter. 220609

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Stable white head blanketing the upper part of the glassware. Misty orange-gold body. Decent malt-fruity smell, scent of dried fruits. Mixed taste character of kveik yeast, saison fruit, leaves, and doughy malts. Jam-like impression. Rounded saison fruity ending, rather sweet in the long run. A bit heavy to drink. Satisfying without further excitements. (Tromsø 22.02.2022).

Bottle. Best before 220520. Nice lacing left as the finger-thick white head sinks down the glass, as the lightly hazy golden colored beer enters my mouth. The aroma is really delicious, faintly banana-ish, faintly smoked, with lots of generic fruityness, some yeastyness in a very nice way, with a light funky, spiced or herbal hint. It's full-bodied and lightly warming, softly and pleasantly carbonated, with a light sweetness and very little bitterness. The flavor has lots of resemblance with a Belgian Tripel, it's fruity and with a light yeast impact, phenolic and lightly orangey, and there's a certain alcohol touch too. Wouldn't mind a touch more bitterness though. Banana, smoke, pale malts, yeast, peppery hints, herbs and a generic fruityness all blend without any of them really standing out. Medium length fruity, lightly yeasty finish. This was a really fine one. After it gets a bit warmth, the yeast plays a bigger role than I think it deserves, else it's a very fine brew. 220205

Amber, hazy with a medium white head. A fruity, yeast and banana sense aroma. Medium bitter, some sweetness with a fruity and spices ending. Not Christmas feel, but felt like I was in Belgium. Like bb 08.2024 Vinmonopolet.no 11.2021

Bottle. It forms a two-finger light beige head over a hazy pale amber colored body. The aroma is lightly spiced, cinnamon, brown sugar, some licorice and orange zest, along with very lightly roasted malts, light toffee and a yeasty, juniper-ish hint. The alcohol is well hidden in the aroma, but quite present in the mouth. A decent amount of warmth, a full body and a bit heavy carbonation and an appropriate sweetness hints the tongue. The flavor has quite a lot of toffee, with juniper, spruce, a touch of licorice and generic spice, some yeast and a good dash of bready, caramel-ish malts. Not sure if I can taste the juniper berries I now noticed was used, but at least there's a forest-ish touch to it, especially in the finish. A rather unusual Christmas beer, and I don't think I could have downed many of these, not even at a lower ABV, but there's sure some quality going on here. 211229

Bottle. It's a quite clear one, golden in color, with a dense, finger-thick white head. Nice lacings. The aroma had lots of bakers yeast at first, then followed by a generic fruityness reminiscent of that found in a Triple, a bit too emphasized alcohol, some juniper and damp conifer forest, along with some doughy, hayish maltyness. It's full-bodied, lightly warming and quite dryish on the palate, a bit too heavily carbonated, with little bitterness. The flavor is quite doughy and yeasty up front, but there's also a quite gently but very much present orange touch. Some hay, juniper and wood, with a sweetness that feels a bit sickening. A good dash of generic fruityness too. Medium lengt fruity, woody and doughy finish. Luckily the beer didn't taste and smell as yeasty as the first impression on the nose, but it's still feeling a bit too unclean I think. Quite a lot of intersting flavors though.
