Op zondag 13 september 2015 werd het Berne Abdijbier met klokgelui geïntroduceerd. Het enige Nederlandse Norbertijnenbier van de oudste nog bestaande abdij van Nederland, Abdij van Berne anno 1134. Bovengistend bier met nagisting op de fles, naar eigen recept op beperkte schaal gebrouwen door Stichting Berne Abdijbier bij een bevriende abdij. De opbrengst zal ten goede komen aan de eeuwenoude Norbertijnen orde van Abdij van Berne. Stichting Berne Abdijbier zal diverse bieren ontwikkelen waarvan er nu in totaal 5 soorten zijn geïntroduceerd.

75cl bottle @ Benzai's Anti-Carnival Valentine's Day Tasting, Feb 26. Pours a dark brown, loose bubbly off-white head. Nicely sweet.. very sweet in fact, caramel, candy sugar and nutty whisky coming through well alongside an amber malt base.. not bad overall

Bottle shared at Anti-Carnavalstasting 2026. Red brownish color, average sized beige head that disappears quickly. Aroma and flavor are malts, brown malts, brown candy sugar, whiskey clearly and fairly dominant. Perhaps too much, a little bit unbalanced. Mwah.

Clear brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, a bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: very oxidized, alcohol, caramel, bourbon, earthy, tobacco, alcohol, soy sauce, funky touch, more oxidation. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: yeasty, alcohol, caramel, bitter, a bit malty, some chocolate, alcohol, more yeasty. Aftertaste: very alcoholic still, pretty yeasty, some caramel, yeasty, some banana, yeast, pretty dry, some chocolate, more alcohol, meh.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is spicy yeast, sweet pale malt, herbal notes, clove. Flavour is medium sweet with a light bitterness. Body is medium. Bit of a spicy/herbal Tripel.
