Description
Op zondag 13 september 2015 werd het Berne Abdijbier met klokgelui geïntroduceerd. Het enige Nederlandse Norbertijnenbier van de oudste nog bestaande abdij van Nederland, Abdij van Berne anno 1134. Bovengistend bier met nagisting op de fles, naar eigen recept op beperkte schaal gebrouwen door Stichting Berne Abdijbier bij een bevriende abdij. De opbrengst zal ten goede komen aan de eeuwenoude Norbertijnen orde van Abdij van Berne. Stichting Berne Abdijbier zal diverse bieren ontwikkelen waarvan er nu in totaal 5 soorten zijn geïntroduceerd.

Donkergeel troebel bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is zoet en licht bitter met iets van honing, hooi en peer. Erg goed tripel.

A: dark malts, dark bready, bit chocolate, dark caramel, coffee touch, nutty. T: rich dark malts, sweet dark fruits undertones with some chocolate and coffee touch, bit toffee, cocoa, alcohol bit warming but well masked, full body, lower carbonation, quite nice for the style, good balanced if not so complex yet enjoyed.
