Bottle shared at pre-tasting. Medium dark brown color, red glare, medium sized beige head. Aroma is malts, malty bitters, distant burnt sugar notes. Flavor is malts, dark malts, light iron, burnt malt in the distance, malty bitter. Traditional dubbel I'd say. Not bad.

Bottle at home. 2020 Bottle. Brown color, lots of unidentified floating objects in there. Average sized beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, sweetish, light brown candy sugar notes, but malty bitter in the finish. Hmm okay.

Bottle at home. Dark brown color, small off-white to beige head. Aroma is malts, a bit plant like, hmm odd. Flavor is malts, only a distant sweetish notes, a bit boozy, some notes of brown candy sugar, light liquor but hard to detect. Hmm okay, but not great.

Bottle at home shared with Laura and Joen. Clear golden color, huge foamy white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, malt bitterness, light yeast, soft herbal bitter notes. Decent body and carbonation. Quite okay tripel.

Bottle at home shared with Joen and Laura. Clear golden color, full sized white head. Aroma is malts and a bit yeasty with an overripe plums. Flavor is similar: malts, yeasty, light overripe plums. A bit fizzy carbonation, decent body. Okay beer.

zwart bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet met iets van chocolade en wat rook en een vleug whiskey. Best een goede quadrupel maar voor een dergelijk gewaardeerd bier valt het mij wat tegen.

Donkerbruin bier met mooie stevige creme kleurige schuimkraag. Smaak is licht bitter met iets van chocokale, wat anijs, koffie en pruimen. Toppie.

Geprobeerd met LiekevdV, Inoven en JoepvW op Brew@TheZoo2025. Het is een troebel donker roodbruin bier met een volle roodbruine schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van port. De smaak is vol gebrande mout, chocolade, koffie en port.
