Keg at BD Inverurie. It pours darkest brown to black with minimal head. The aroma is tangy, juicy, obvious plummy vibes, date, raisin, black grape, jammy, saltiness, ume, savoury, salty edge and plain chocolate. The taste is smooth, tangy, juicy, ripe plum, date, dry toasted malt, nuttiness, ume, raisin, sultana, fruit cake, chocolate, toasted nut and umami with a toasty, charred finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Has quite an interesting depth of flavour and balance. Grew on me for sure. Novel.

Can from Hop Shop Aberdeen. It pours lightly hazy amber - blonde with a decent white head. The aroma is fresh grassy hops, leafy, light peppery spice, hay, hopsack, cereal, sweet biscuity maltage and some honeydew melon. The taste is crisp, dry, touch of firm bitterness, peppery spice, floral, leafy, grass, biscuit, cereal, soft green fruits, melon, greengage and the like and a touch of waxy citrus rind. Finish is dry and spicy. Average rating for fine+ carbonation. Interesting and quaffable. If I am being picking I would want a touch more carbonation to elevate it to a higher score. Another very good opener from this new brewery.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours lightly hazy pale yellow with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh and fragrant, zingy lemon - lime, orange, melon, greengage, floral accents and sherbet. The taste is crisp, dry, clean, pleasing bitterness, floral, melon, greengage, touch of gooseberry, pithy, zesty, lime, orangey tangerine, sherbet, grass, straw and a touch of cracker with a dry finish. Light body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Rather enjoyable stuff. Light, airy and quenching. Nice work.

The taste is initially dry, spicy, bitter - sweet, slick, sappy, piney, resinous, toffee, rye bread, spicy, toothy, touch of grapefruit, orange marmalade, earthy and light alcohol with a sappy finish. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. Nice old school west coaster. Enjoyable.
