Enjoyed on cask at the Hop and Hound Oktoberfest event. Dark, reddish amber appearance, plenty of off white foam head. Dense body, caramel malts, bran, nutty throughout. Very flavorful and easy drinking marzen. Dark for the usual cask celebration here. Barely spicy grains linger. Toasty. Very good.

Dullish haze, thin head. Gloppy and thin at the same time. Not the ferm I wanted. Hop expression is negligible. Flush.

Draft pour pint at Hop and Hound. This is a style that I will never tire of. Dark cola brown pour. Tan foam head that hangs on. Big roast, toasty flavor. Lots of coffee grounds paired with a big bitter pine. Wonderfully layered flavor. Bold palate, subtle dark chocolate. Biting bitter finish. Yes, yes, yes. Love this.

On tap at WABF 2024, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out light smokiness, some grass, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is crisp and nicely smoky, with plenty of biscuity malt, some grassiness, and nice smoke character. Crisp, smoky and grassy. Good.

Draft pour at WBF, Fisher Pavillion. Clean and bright golden pour l, patchy head. Smoke is obvious up front, but met with a sweet note. Crisp throughout. Pils like grain sits buried in the palate. Easy drinking finish. Fun brew.

On tap at The Beer Junction, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is full of toasted coconut upfront, followed by lots of cocoa, and gentle roasted malt as a base. Flavour is loaded with oodles of coconut and cocoa upfront, without being too sweet, backed by a solid toasted malt base. Coconuty, chocolatey finish. This is delicious.

On tap at Chuck's Hop Shop - Seward Park, pours an amber-tinged dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma reveals moderate roasted malt, piney hops, and a hint of dry cocoa. Flavour is balanced well, with lots of bitter piney hops, moderate roast, and a touch of bitter cocoa. Nicely balanced, with both a good hop content and strong roast presence. Good use more forceful roast, but this is well-made.

Dull amber, weak hop, a bit tart, nothing working here, huh. I mean, it's supposed to be an IPA and I'm not getting that.

Sweet bread, low bitterness. This is juvenile like okay but needs more malt richness and probably more bitterness, too.
