Apparently made with eight malts and three "festive spices" - certainly malt-forward/heavy - rich caramel flavor, a Munich malt richness - malt profile akin to an Oktoberfest - raisin, candies orange - Belgian yeast character is muddled here, just adding some pepper to the end - it's okay.

Taster at the brewery - lightly sweet malt character allows the tropical notes of the Brett to shine in this one - notes of gingerbread through the middle - mild musky funk finishes - peaches, appreciates - tail end brings light spiciness, as the beer dries out and the funk lingers - well-done Brett beer.

Taster at the brewery - interesting brew - sort of a dubbel, Saison hybrid - flavor of raisin, black cherry, moderate tartness, light pepper, leafy bitterness - interesting.

On tap at Trail's End Taproom. Pours a dark, clear, brown color, with a big, bubbly, tan head. Distinct raspberry aroma, with dates, brown sugar, cinnamon, oak, and red wine. Sweet and very malty, with light bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with a surprisingly effervescent, fluffy mouthfeel. Solid.

Tulip at the brewery - dark Ruby, nearly purple - soapy lace - nose of plum, raisin, leather, acetic acid - flavor has a noticeable acidity/sourness that I’m not sure is intentional - under that are flavors if plum, cherry skins, chocolate, baked apples - but it’s hard to get past that very potent acidity.

Tulip at the brewery - hazy gold with a soapy head - dry and medium tart, with a strong peppery spice through the middle, a touch of citrus peel - the finish is a bit watery, with a sort of dull yeastiness to it - okay.

On tap at First Draft. Slightly hazy orange color, with a medium, off-white head. The nose is resinous hops, straw, and banana, dust, and pine. Sharp bitterness, with a mild, yeasty character. Medium to heavy body, sticky, clingy, and dank. This is a pretty nice Belgian IPA.

Tulip at the brewery - hazy dark amber - nose of raisin, dark bread, plum, pepper, light dustiness - creamy texture - flavor is medium sweet, with dark bread, raisin, pepper, light tanginess, copper, dust - finish of dark fruit and pepper - it’s pretty good.

Tulip at the brewery - lightly hazy gold - nose of pepper, grass, straw, mild funkiness, light mineral - flavor is a bit sweet for my tastes, honey and tropical fruit - a moderate bitterness and strong spicy phenols try to balance, but wind up simply being a little abrasive and never completely cutting through the sweetness - finish of honey and lingering pepper - disappointing, but probably not as bad as I am making it sound.
