Ich hätte niemals gedacht, das ich einmal ein Pils mit so hoher Bewertung zusammenbekomme. Aber dieses Bier hat mir wirklich äußerst gut gefallen. Es unterscheidet sich deutlich vom Standard-Pils, das man in Deutschland an jeder Dönerbude bekommt und weist dennoch alle für ein Pils typischen Geschmacksnuancen auf. Es klingt sogar ein bisschen der buttrige Geschmack des Pilsner Urquell durch, ohne aber widerlich zu wirken. Bei einem vollen Geschmack, kommt aber auch die Spritzigkeit nicht zu kurz. Das Bier kann sich auf jeden Fall mit den großen und craft-igen Bieren messen. Ich kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Der Begriff Helles ist bei diesem Bier ein bisschen wage, da das Bier eine deutlich rötliche Färbung hat. In Italien würde man es sicher als Rosso oder Ambrata bezeichen. Mich erinnert es eher an ein vollmundiges Märzen. Auch wenn ich denke, dass die Namens-Definition nicht die beste is, so ist es auf jeden Fall sehr gut komponiert und hebt sich wie schon das Pils durch einen eigenen angenehmen Geschmack von der Masse ab. Aufgrund der 4,8 vol-% wundert mich die Dichte der Geschmacksnuancen -aber bitte macht euch selbst ein Bild.

Das IPA war auch von Anfang an dabei. Es ist ein ordentlich süffiges und etwas bitteres IPAmit fein ausgewogenen Aromen. Kann man immer wieder trinken.

Das Hanfbier war eines der ersten Brauschneider-Biere. Es ist ein Helles mit leicht grasigen Aromen mit geringerer Malzigkeit. Dafür lässt es sich einfach und angnehm trinken.

330 ml bottle, bb 20/08/15, from Ottakringer shop, Vienna.
Yellow, hazy body, with a medium, unstable, creamy, white head.
Not very pleasant aroma of citrus, old grass, grains, candy, some urine.
Taste is better, with citrus candy, grapefruit, grass, some pine, some biscuit.
Medium, quite creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes moderate, bitter, piney, zesty, grassy.
OK, but nothing special. Don’t like the nose, but the taste is good. Drinks very easy, more like a Pale Ale. Overall quite far behind the best IPAs from Austria.

bottle, Meinl am Graben, Vienna. Hazy golden colour, white head. Soruish start, some malty flavours, some grassy bitter hoppy flavours and a touch more sourness.

07.02.2015: bottle at home, bought at Ottakringer Shop. BB date 17/02/2015. dark yellow color, small white head. weird smell of butter, some weird sweetness, candy, sour milk. light to medium body, quite buttery, light grapefruit, citric, dry bitter finish. definitly something wrong with this one. bottle was stored in the fridge at the shop. will give this another dry when i get a fresh one.

Drinkable overall, but the biggest fan, some off notes. Definitly better then the first time around.

Bottle from Geiserich, many thanks! Sehr trübes goldenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig fruchtig, florale Aromen, Gewürze. Geschmack säuerlich fruchtig, Gewürze, Hanf, leicht hefig.

Tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien 2014. Pours hazy orange, nice foam. Aroma has some hop freshness but it also has a strong malt backbone. Taste has some hop bitterness but nothing radical. A bit rough and basic, not sophisticated. Otherwise, not bad.
