Sample at District Brew Yards. Thicker head with a slight orange tinge. Black body. Smell of coffee and cinnamon in welcome proportions. Cinnamon works to keep the taste light in spite of the roasty malt and the higher abv.

Can, from Beer Boutique, Brooklyn. Pours clear dark brown with ruby red highlights, small foamy beige head, coffee aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter coffee taste with faint bourbon flavor, smooth thin body, long sweetish coffee finish. Smooth and tasty.

Draught @ District Brew Yards, Chicago (Aug 2023). Cloudy dark yellow-amber with a small foamy beige head, faint resinous aroma, adequate carbonation, bitter resinous caramel taste with faint piney flavor, thin body, long bitter finish. Decent American IPA.
