32 oz growler purchased earlier in the evening at Brew Lab in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a clear copper golden with a ½ inch off white head. The aroma is a bright orange citrus, pine, cereal malt and a softly bitter floral to the back. The taste is fresh hops, floral, pine, the citrus with the citrus peel all balanced nicely with the cereal grain malt. Nice mineral and floral bitterness to the finish. The palate is medium to light bodied soft carbonation and the great dry bitter mineral finish. A very fresh, old school West Coast IPA really hit the spot.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L's place. Thanks Tom L. Black, tan foam. Lots of coffee, a bit vegetal, mocha, sweet, lactose, roast, bitterish finish. Too sweet full me.

~4 oz taster mini-goblet draft at Brew Lab in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a mostly clear golden with a small white head. The aroma initially ha some phenols, that clear quick, then lactic milk, tobacco leaf and roast. The taste is blend of the leaf tobacco, roast malt, milkiness and additional grass earth leaf. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and a chewy milky sweet, roast finish. A bit of the tobacco in the long finish. Odd, but interesting beer.

13 oz goblet glass draft at Brew Lab in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is an opaque black with a thin light tan head. The aroma is char roast along with a bit of earth. The taste is bone dry char roast, mineral, earth, and clean pine hop towards the finish. The palate is light to medium bodied with active natural carbonation and the super dry char mineral finish. Nice.

13 oz goblet glass draft at Brew Lab in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a hazed darker golden with a 1/2 inch white head that leaves behind nice lace. The aroma is a dank resin along with cereal malt grain. The taste is the bright big resin dank, with the fresh clean cereal malt and finishes with floral. Very much about the resinous hop. The palate is medium bodied with an unfiltered mouth feel and a dry resin mineral finish. Really nice, possibly the best Brew Lab beer I have had to date.

~4 oz taster at Brew Lab in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a hazed golden yellow with a small white head. The aroma is bready malt, strong rosemary and earthy rye. The taste is a very “loaf of bread’ feel to it, tastes like an artisanal loaf of rosemary rye bread, which I suppose is exactly what they were going for. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation and lingering rosemary finish. Really well made, though I do not personally love this much rosemary.

Draft pint at Brew Lab in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a slight haze golden with a thin white head. Nice lace on the glass. The aroma is citrus tropical hops, a bit of cereal grain malt. The taste is a nice balance between the clean cracker malt and the citrus tropical pineapple hops. The hops tasted a bit watery, particularly as the beer warmed. The palate is light bodied, soft carbonation and a mildly watery finish.

~10 oz tulip draft at Brew Lab in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is dark, opaque black brown with a small well formed khaki head. The aroma is fresh pine, soft roast, round malt sweetness and dry floral notes. The taste is clean and fresh hops - pine primary, with floral and then moves to the roast caramel softly sweet malt. The palate is medium bodied, soft natural carbonation and a dry, clean pine mineral finish. Absolutely no heat present. Really nicely done - impressed by Brew Lab beers.
