12 ounce can into snifter, canned on 12/10/2018. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep ruby red/orange/copper color, with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, rum, bourbon, spicy rye whiskey, toasted oak, raisin, plum, fig, cherry, date, apricot, red apple, and brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coconut, licorice, molasses, roasted nuts, chocolate, smoke, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/oak/toasted earthiness. Slight booze in the aromas as it warms, but not overwhelming. Very minimal diacetyl. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/bready, fruity yeast, rum/bourbon/rye barrels, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of huge caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, rum, bourbon, spicy rye whiskey, toasted oak, raisin, plum, fig, cherry, date, apricot, red apple, and brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coconut, licorice, molasses, roasted nuts, chocolate, smoke, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/oak/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and rum, bourbon, rye whiskey, oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, rum, bourbon, spicy rye whiskey, toasted oak, dark fruit, cherry, apricot, red apple, brown bread/crust, coconut, roasted nuts, molasses, light licorice/chocolate/smoke, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/oak/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready, fruity yeast, rum/bourbon/rye barrels, and light earthy hop flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness and rum/bourbon/rye/oak spiciness balance; with no cloying sweetness, or astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and rum/bourbon/rye/oak spiciness after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly slick/sticky/tannic mouthfeel that is fantastic. Mild increasing warmth of 11%, with minimal barrel booze lingering after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic mixed barrel aged scotch ale! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready, fruity yeast, rum/bourbon/rye barrels, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV, with the mildly bitter/tannic/drying finish. Definitely a big improvement over the base beer, of which I am a big fan. A lot richer on flavors. Perfectly balanced rich malts, fruity yeast, and bourbon/rum/rye barrel presence/integration; with solid earthy hop presence against sweetness. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazingly spot on style example.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/6/2018. Pours slightly hazy deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, light green pepper/pine, honey, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, light green pepper, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, green pepper, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is an outstanding IPA. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; extremely smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish. Pretty soft feeling, and not aggressive. Amazing showcase of Ekuanot/Azacca, against the base beer's Columbus/Simcoe. Extremely juicy and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; great bready malt balance, light residual sweetness with increasing dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing Midwest style example.

Aromas are deciduous Woodland fresh hops caramel malt. Flavors are similar to nose but not as high-quality perhaps the Hops weren't as good. Decent enough beer but not great.

12oz can. Black-brown body. Amber malt comes through some, otherwise a pretty classic oily Porter. Doesn't really nail it, more amateur American than World Class English. Drinkable nonetheless. The aroma gets more unenjoyable every whiff. Maybe too old of a can.

Can. Pours a hazy amber with small beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is dark fruit, licorice, oak, bourbon. Slick body, similar flavors to nose, nice sweetness, boozy finish, very good.

Crisp golden coloured body with an off-white head, only about a centimetre or so high. Aroma of light metal, crisp grain, a dose of corn and some mellow sugars with a pinch of breadiness and yeast at the end. Light-bodied; Mellow malty and grassy flavour at first with a subdued but nice grain and crisp citrusey flavour throughout. Aftertaste shows some sugar from honey with a very nice crisp grapefruit, citrus and lightly pine flavour from the hops with a touch of metal and grain near the end. Overall, a nice and light beer with a good crisp flavour, without much body, pungency or deep rich flavours. A good beer for sure with some minimal flavours, which are about right for the style along with a smooth and crisp flavour that would go great in the summertime. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Siciliano's in Grand Rapids, Michigan on 13-June-2017 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 12-December-2017, almost exactly six months later. As a Michigander and especially an Engineer, I really appreciate the name/pun of this beer and would recommend it to everyone for that alone, but it is a good Lager for sure to sample if you can find it!

12oz can. Filtered copper-orange body. Pretty insipid, boring beer...but I suppose that is the Session IPA at heart. More harsh soapy hop tones than classical peachy mango Mosaic. Really just not that interesting of a hop profile. Drinkable, but quite forgettable.
