This porter poured a deep amber colour with a creamy, brown head. Nice lacing. Scents include caramel, brown sugar, lightly roasted coffee, toast and nuts. First swig was a little thin with flavours of dark toast, caramel, a little vanilla, powdered cocoa and roasted malts. Finish is toasted malt mostly with a little cocoa on the back.

375ml (thx, Brian!) @ Ryan's.
Aroma: barrel, port, almost no sweetness, a bit of red fruits.
Taste: along the same lines, full-bodied, a bit boozy. Finishes with a lot of ashy notes (coming from the burnt malt?).
Overall: ok.

This stout poured a deep black colour with a creamy, tan coloured head. Nice lacing. Scents include chocolate, roasted malt and caramel. First swig was delicious with flavours of dark toast, coffee and molasses. Finish is smokey with burnt malt flavours lingering.
